17 Pre-School Children Killed in Road Accident in China

Beijing, Nov 16 (CMC) Nineteen people, including 17 pre-school children, were killed today when their school bus met with an accident in China's northwestern Gansu Province.
The accident took took place this morning at Yulinzi township of Zhengning County of the Qingyang city, the provincial work safety bureau said in a statement.
The bureau did not reveal more details, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
Forty-five others, mostly children, were injured in the accident. The injured were sent to hospital with injuries, a statement from local government said.
The driver of the bus, which collided with a truck, also died in the accident.
The school bus, run by the township kindergarten, was overloaded, officials said.
