U'khand cloudburst: death toll rises to 37, 5 more missing

Uttarkashi, Sept 16 (CMC) Five more people went missing after another cloudburst in Kiroda Malna in Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand where the death toll has risen to 37 and a total of 27 people have gone missing as scores of homes have been flattened.
Roads and electricity lines have been badly hit in the state where Army personnel are helping with rescue and evacuation efforts.
The state government has announced monetary relief to those affected.
Uttarakhand's Disaster Management Minister Yashpal Arya said, "A lot of villages have been affected due to the cloudburst in Rudraprayag. We have announced 10 crore rupees relief for people whose farms have been destroyed. In addition to this, we will also rehabilitate those who are affected."
