Guj Polls: Narendra Modi confident
Clean Media Correspondent

Ahemdabad, Nov 14 (CMC) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today said that he was confident of retaining the mandate ahead of the assembly elections in the state.

The first phase of the Gujarat assembly polls will be held on December 13, while the second will be held on December 17. Speaking to media persons in Ahmedabad, after greeting people on the occasion of the 'Gujarati New Year', a confident Modi said that the people of his state would never elect the 'dark rule' of the Congress in the state.

Modi is seen as the strongest opposition candidate for general elections in two years, thanks to rapid growth and a perception of corruption-free governance in his state, which has 5 percent of India's population but contributes 16 percent to national industrial output.
