NEW DELHI, Nov 06 (CMC) Senior BJP leader LK Advani has skipped the party's core group meeting which was scheduled to be held in New Delhi on Tuesday evening.

The leader was reportedly upset over the 'impatience' shown by party president Nitin Gadkari who was accused of running a dodgy company.

The meeting was scheduled to be held at 7pm, which was later postponed till 7.30pm after Advani skipped the meeting.

On Monday, Gadkari caused a major embarrassment to the party over his comment in Bhopal, where he compared the intelligence quotient (IQ) of Swami Vivekanand with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

BJP president has been under attack from various quarters after media expose of the alleged dubious funding of a company, Purti Sugar and Power Limited, run by him.

Notably, veteran lawyer and Rajya Sabha member, Ram Jethmalani, demanded Gadkari's resignation from the party post after this expose.

Even Mahesh Jethmalani, Supreme Court lawyer and Ram Jethmalani's son, quit the BJP executive post. According to reports, there are several senior party leaders who are of the view that Gadkari should quit the post till investigation against him is over.
