Over two dozen mowed on an unmanned railway crossing at Bilaspur

Bilaspur (Chattisgarh) October 22 (CMC) Over two dozen people, mostly labourers were run over by a train in Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh while crossing track on an unmanned crossing this evening.

The exact number of casulties are not known but atleast two dozen people died and many others 

IG (Railway) R K Devangan told CMC that a high speed train run over over two dozen people at Tar-bahar unmanned railway crossing near Bilaspur junction at about 1845 hrs today.

At the Tar-bahar railway crossing as soon as two speeding trains crossed and there was a good gap of time, people standing at the crossing started moving forward. But as soon as they stepped in, a high speed train crossed from there cutting many people, mostly labourers going back to their homes, into pieces.

Fifteen people died on the spot while othere died in the hospital.
