Bangalore, Oct 26 (CMC) The Lokayukta court today extended to November 26 the judicial custody of former Minister, Katta Subramanya Naidu and two others arrested in connection with the Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB) land scam.

Lokayukta Court judge N K Sundhindra Rao extended the judicial custody of the three main accused -- Naidu, his son Jagadish, a Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) corporator and S V Shrinivas, Managing Director of Itasca software company, whose judicial custody ended today.

Earlier, the court took on record the endorsement given by the jail official about Katta having been shifted to Leelavathi Hospital, Mumbai for further treatment of Lymphoma (cancer of the lymph nodes).

The court sought to know whether Katta has been sent to Leelavathi on warrant and directed the jail superintendent to furnish a status report on it.

After being remanded to judicial custody on August 8, Katta was subsequently admitted to Victoria Hospital where he had been undergoing treatment.

Katta Subramanya Naidu, his corporator son Jagadish and Shrinivas are among nine persons facing charges of irregularities in land allotment of KIADB in B K Halli village to the software company, floated by an aide of Naidu.
