Advani calls for corruption-free Uttar Pradesh

Mughalsarai (UP), Oct 12 (CMC) In a veiled attack on Mayawati government which is facing corruption charges, BJP leader L K Advani tonight said the people of Uttar Pradesh will have the first opportunity to move towards a clean political system, indicating to the upcoming assembly polls.
"Uttar Pradesh is the biggest state in the country and corruption-free India cannot be established without a corruption-free UP," Advani said at a rally here.
Advani's yatra reached late evening here where he addressed his first public gathering in the state.
The BJP leader spoke for only two minutes as the permission to address the gathering was until 10 pm.
After the brief speech, the bus carrying Advani for his Jan Chetna Yatra moved towards Varanasi where he would making night halt.
