No signs of external injury on Anuradha's body: police
Clean Media Correspondent
Chandigarh, Aug 07 (CMC): Former Haryana assistant advocate general Anuradha Bali, popularly known as Fiza, whose highly-decomposed body was found from her SAS Nagar residence on Monday, did not die of an external injury, says the autopsy report of her body.
Fiza, the estranged wife of former Haryana deputy
chief minister, Chander Mohan, was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her residence in Sector 48, Mohali, on Monday. "The autopsy report rules out any external injury. The exact reasons of death would be clear once the viscera report comes in," SAS Nagar senior superintendent of police (SSP) Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said, adding: "We are probing the case from all angles."
The police suspect that Bali may have died of a drug overdose. "But till the time we do not get the chemical analysis report nothing is clear," Bhullar said, adding that it seemed there was no struggle before Bali had died. The police have also sent eatables and liquor found from her house for a chemical examination to determine the cause of her death. "We have not found any objectionable item from her house. No suicide note was discovered from the spot," Bhullar said.
In the room in which Bali's highly-decomposed body was found, the police had recovered a bottle of liquor, cigarettes and some eatables. The police said that the condition of Fiza's maggot-infested body indicated that she may have died on August or 2. Following her mother's death a few months ago, Fiza, who first came in the news for her controversial marriage to former Haryana deputy chief minister Chander Mohan, had been living alone in her Sector-48 house in Mohali.
After a brief disappearance, Bali and Mohan had in December 2008 resurfaced as the married couple of Fiza and Chand Mohammad. The two's short-live marital life was solemnised after they converted to Islam. The couple was together for about 40 days before Mohan returned to his family.

The mobile phone records
The two mobile phones being used by Fiza were switched off since August 1. The police said Fiza she had last phone her family friend Ajit Singh Hooda from her mobile phone on August 1. The two had gone out in the evening and, according to Hooda, he had dropped her back home at about 7.30 pm. Fiza used to switch off the mobile phone every night before going to sleep and used to switch it the next morning.

Injury to skull
The autopsy report talks of an injury in the skull, which the doctors claim is an old injury which she had sustained in January this year, after a scuffle with her neighbour following which she was hospitalised for one-an-a-half months.
