Lucknow, Nov 24 (CMC): The Uttar Pradesh government has returned the report of the DGP (Anti-Corruption) pertaining to allegations of corruption in the fire department, levelled by a senior IPS officer, terming it as "incomplete".
"The government has returned the report submitted to it by the DGP (Anti-Corruption). It was incomplete," Secretary (Home) Leena Jahauri told reporters here.
On November five, the state government had ordered an inquiry into allegations of corruption in the fire department, levelled by the then DIG, Fire Services, D D Mishra, a 1978 batch IPS officer.
Alleging corruption and discrepancies in purchases in the fire department, Mishra had said he was being "harassed" for exposing "scam" and was facing a threat to his life.
He was later admitted to the Psychiatric ward of the Chattrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University where he was diagnosed to be suffering from bipolar effective disorder.
Mishra, at present, is on leave.
