All Beggars are UPites!

Thanks Mr. Rahul Gandhi, finally we have come to know that people found begging in various places of Maharashtra and Delhi belong to the present largest state (by population), Uttar Pradesh. If a man of your stature put forth such views, it should be accepted as a factual statement. Not because you are a common man named as Rahul Gandhi but because you hold a prominent place in the politics of the nation, you are dubbed as the future of the largest democracy, you come from a royal lineage and your party has been in the power for nearly fifty summers in the country.

But here the million dollar question is that, what was the scientific sampling method which helped you to arrive at such a conclusion? Is your statement on begging and beggars restricted to U.P. only? Are beggars not found in other states of India, or if at all they are found they only come from U.P. If so, then, it means that beggars’ community does not consist of others  but UPites only.

When your party has ruled the state for nearly four decades, why you all did not make any efforts to stop beggars and beggary? Would you claim that nobody migrated from U.P during your party’s ‘golden’ tenure to beg and earn livelihood, or would you claim that all beggars mushroomed only in the last twenty years when your party, the Congress was not in power. But during this period as well definitely you were in power at Centre.

We all very well know that if at all entire India is a unit, single family then certainly your Central Government has been the protector and guardian of the family. Why not the head of the family did something to stop their children from begging? Why did it not take any steps to prevent such a situation? Weren’t you partial then in dealing with UP? Either you did not consider the entire India a family or you really did not have control on your own child (Uttar Pradesh).

What an irony it is, the state which has given the maximum number of prime ministers to the nation including four from the Congress party itself, has also given birth to all the beggars in India; still atleast not in the world!

Thank God, UPites have not become too shameless to beg in around the globe. However beggars beg not for pleasure but it is the outcome of the harsh circumstances in and around them. Those harsh circumstances are prevalent because of the pitiable law and order, poor administration, corruption, illegalities all around and for many other reasons. But most importantly the fact of the matter is that the ruling political class of the country is to be blamed for all the miseries of the common men. The maintenance of law and order and the dignity of the common men are equally the responsibility of the Government at the centre and at the state. Blame game will not actually help much, neither it will change the scenario nor rid you off your accountability to them and the nation.

Even if Rahul’s sampling method is adjudged to be correct, true and scientific, it still deeply pains. The people don’t approve of this method and the preaching which is nothing but putting salt on a wound!

 Only time will tell as to whether Rahul Gandhi did the correct thing in pointing fingers towards the UPites being the beggars all across the streets of the country or he did a blunder being responsible for it himself!
