'Dharm' must be linked with education- Bhagwat

Indore, Nov 12 (CMC): RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Saturday said there should be a link between 'dharm' (religion) and the education.
"Dharm does not mean a particular religion like Hinduism, or Islam, or Christianity," Bhagwat said, addressing a huge gathering of students and members of Vidya Bharti, an affiliate organisation of RSS, on the occasion of silver jubilee year of Sarswati Vidya Prathisthan here.
"Education should be linked with religion," Bhagwat said.
Recalling the mythological story of triumph of Vaman, Vishu's avatar, over the king Bali, Bhagwat said that such incarnation seemed to be necessary not only for the exaltation of humans, but even for the animals and the nature.
"Over 225 years ago even United States and Europe believed in the joint family system, now these countries have forgotten the concept of Dharm, that is why they are in "paatal" (on the other end of the world vis a vis India)," he quipped.
He further said the concept of religion must not be confined to the rituals.
The RSS chief appealed to the Vidya Bharti graduates to work for the uplift of tribal communities, and protection of the nature.
