‘People will reply to Rahul's remarks in polls’

New Delhi, Nov 23 (CMC): Dismissing Rahul Gandhi's remarks that Congress will make Uttar Pradesh the number one state if voted to power, BJP on Tuesday said the people of the state will give his party a "befitting reply" in coming polls, as it had done in Bihar recently.
"The people of Uttar Pradesh will give a befitting reply to Rahul Gandhi in forthcoming assembly polls in the state.
The people of Bihar have already given their reply to Congress in the last elections," said BJP leader Yashwant Sinha commenting on Rahul's remarks.
Sinha said "Congress will do to Uttar Pradesh what it had done to the nation in the last 50 years if they get back to power."
BJP had earlier criticized Rahul's remarks at a rally in Phulpur that how long people of Uttar Pradesh would go to Maharashtra and "beg".
